Ironwood Springs - Covid-19 Impact on Summer Programs

Post by admin »

Dear Friends of Ironwood Springs,

We hope all of you are doing well and are safe during this time.

It is with great sadness that our staff and board of directors have made the difficult decision to cancel all of our scheduled programs for this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the recommendations of medical experts, the anticipated presence and contagiousness of this virus (especially in the congregated setting provided by camp) and the associated social distancing and gathering size limitations, we concluded that we could not provide a safe and fun environment for our summer programs. The safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff is of the utmost importance.

This was not an easy decision to make. We know how much these programs mean to our Ironwood family and we will miss seeing your smiling faces this summer. That is the hardest part of all. If you have registered for summer programs, you will receive information about refunding options in the next day or so.

We know that many of you want to get out and enjoy the beauty of Ironwood Springs so we are considering how to offer safe and fun, individual or family experiences this summer, including horse trail rides and potentially camping. We would also love to hear from you on how we can best serve you in other ways this summer. You can email those to tracy@ironwoodsprings.com. Check our website www.ironwoodsprings.com or our Facebook page for updates in the coming weeks.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a large financial impact on Ironwood Springs with the loss of most of our spring and summer income. Pray for our ministry and those we serve, along with our staff, that we would seek God's wisdom, for Him to supply all of our needs and that He would guide us in planning. If you are able, please consider donating a financial gift to help us continue to spread the hope and joy of Christ to the people we serve now and in the years to come.

These are challenging times and there are many unknowns, but we rest in knowing that God is good and faithful and because of that, we persevere. God has sustained Ironwood Springs through the last 43 years and we believe He will continue to sustain us.

Trusting in the promises of God,

The Staff and Board of Directors, Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch

I expect this will be happening at many of our Christian summer camps. Camp Omega has not yet made any cancellations.
